ECO-Club  (added: 2010-05-31)

Selborne Primary Eco-Club visited paper recyclers to see for themselves, what happens to the over 4 tons of paper that has been collected by the boys of Selborne in the past 6 weeks.

For every ton of paper reused, 2 tons of wood is saved. Over 35% of our municipal landfill site is clogged with paper which could be recycled. Selborne Primary appeals to East Londoners to think about throwing paper in the bin!

Selborne Worm Farm  (added: 2010-05-24)

The worm farm is passed around the Junior Primary classrooms. It spends one week in each class where
the Boys have to feed the worms and drain the worm tea.

We use the worm tea, either to sell and use the profit to add our vegetable garden or use to fertilize our vegetable garden. Each Foundation phase Class has their own vegetable garden and when it is time to harvest each class makes a big pot of veggie soup!
