Academic Programme...

The academic programme at Selborne Primary endeavors to focus on the whole child. We hope to produce well rounded individuals who have developed intellectual and physical abilities along with strength of character and sound values. • Grade 7 This the phase that locks in with the High School. It forms the first
year of the phase which ends in Grade 9. Specialized teachers are
involved in Grade 7. The learners do not remain in one class.
They move from class to class during the Academic day. Our
learners are extended in two areas, namely Maths and
English. The CASS system is applied where all work is evaluated.

Our Outdoor Education programme consists of two camps.
During the first term learners spend three days at Cefani.
This gives the teachers the opportunity to observe the boys
outside the classroom in a more relaxed atmosphere.
Mr Dean Knox and his staff from Jonginenge oversee the
activities for the first two days. The boys are exposed
to a number of diverse activities

Our second camp is held during the second last week of the
fourth term. This is a “Fun” time where the Grade 7 teachers
bid farewell to the boys at Morgan Bay.
